Young Scientist Symposium on Atmospheric Research

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this year's symposium a great success! We are already looking forward to YSSAR 2014!

YSSAR is a one-day meeting where we invite all graduate students and post docs in the region to present their atmospheric research to a group of fellow young scientists. The meeting is held in early fall at Colorado State University in the Department of Atmospheric Science (Map & Directions). The only requirement for the topics of research presentations is that they must be related to the atmosphere. It is a great opportunity to learn about ongoing research at institutions in the area, meet fellow young sceintists, and find collaborators for future projects. It also provides an opportunity to practice (in a low pressure environment) giving a talk or poster for a national conference.

Email us at if you are interested in more information for YSSAR 2014.

The mission of the American Association for Aerosol Research (AAAR) is a commitment to the development of aerosol science and technology, and its application to important societal issues. As a student chapter of AAAR, we seek to promote this mission through the exploration of current aerosol research topics (e.g., climate change, regional haze, air quality measurements, effects of air pollution on human health, etc.) within the university and the greater science community. We will also encourage public interest in these topics through education and planned community activities.
